Last Class

Last class Fabio and I had a very interesting talk with Mr.Wolfe, he told us that it was not only on effecting the audience but effecting the characters and each other. He told us that the idea is good but we just need to execute this in a fun real-life styled scene. So far this weekend Fabio and I have only talked once but we both did the homework that we assigned each other and hope that everything will turn out well.

5/24

Today we figured out what changes we wanted to do to our scene for the final project. We incorperated 3 iconic movies and our accent and movements will hopefully affect the audience in a comical way.

Waiting for Godot Prelims

Last class we preformed our Waiting for Godot scene, surprisingly Fabio and I received 100%. According to Mr. Wolfe's note he likes our concept, now we have to fully master the lines and adjust to the new and final waiting for go dot scene grading sheet.

The Play

the drowsy chaperone was very funny I am not sure if the original was anything like that but the addition of the Narrator. He killed me, figuratively of course or i wouldn't be here. Honestly he was funny at times of the play I was crying. As a theater student it was very interesting to watch, Mr Wolfe told us when we were doing our combat session we would be able to tell, I am proud to say I was. As everyone around me saw a real slap, I was happy to know it was theater. My favorite scene was after the break when the actors came in chinese looking costumes and then the narrator said he should speak to his cleaning lady in proper sentences. Overall I would rate this play the best I have ever seen and would pay to see it again.

Godot

Fabio and I added a lot of funny gestures to our super starwarz waiting for jedi godot extravaganza and the ending should just leave the audience laughing, also Fabio master the "crazy eye" from Little Nicki the movie and the way we use it will flow with our weird jedi personalties

Last 2 days

Hey Everyone,

As y'all are aware Fabio and I are doing our Waiting For Godot, but in a star wars fan theme. Today Fabio and I perfected some of the ways to say our lines and it is looking really good.

Camelia De Arte Day 1

Today we did our first improv practice practice with our characters. Due to Fabio's absents we picked up Yousif, they are both servants and I was El Captain! I was able to do my scene in a chair which was an obstacle but it was very fun. Grant and I hope to get a lot of funny improv experience from this.

Crippled and Funny Masks

I was crippled in a Basketball accident last week so we preformed our fight scene with me sitting down. That section is over so now we are working on developing our characters funny side, but we wont be using the funny masks that British interpreters use.

IPad recording

Last class Grant and I added in a sword throw, when we preformed it to the class Mr. Wolfe took out his IPad 2 and recorded it. After we were done he let us watch it, it was great for Grant and I to actually see how it look rather than guessing it looked good because we could see it now we know what our next week goals will be.

Slow it down!!!!

Today in class Mr. Wolfe found a broken pool sword, so he told us to be careful and go slower we don't need to have it at performance speed. Grant and I showed our scene again, we were told to slow it down with only that I think it was a good day we had our eye contact down!!!!

16 move for both sword and hand to hand combat

Today we were given sheets to write down our fight scenes, Grant and I transferred the information from our list. Then we practiced our scene we worked on eye contact and some new exciting moves we think the audience will enjoy.

Practice Performance, and Introduction to swords

Today Mr. Wolfe introduced our swords... aka a stick in a pool noodle... After playing with these new props we incorporated them in our fight scene. Grant and I were the 2nd to go we had great eye contact and Mr. Wolfe actually thought grant hit me on a fake punch. We did it perfect I fell correctly and it look beautiful.

Stage Combat 16 Steps

Last Class we solidified our stage combat moves, we need to keep eye contact, and be slower. I feel that because we are brothers we have real fighting in our past so hopefully we are good at fake fighting

Stage Combat with my brother

Last class we were introduced to stage combat and I was lucky enough to convince my brother Grant to be my partner, we practiced slapping, kicking, punching, pulling hair, and may more violent acts. The idea of my brother and I fighting is normal but fake fighting will be hard, lets hope for Acting Classes sake I don't mistakenly hit Grant. I think it is very interesting how Mr.Wolfe taught us these moves, I hope we can execute them to the up most accuracy.

Wednesday Feb 15th

I feel the Love in the air, even thought it isn't valentines day. Today Diego Gomez and myself preformed 4 improv skits, one was about a father and son building a treehouse, the second was about two Itailian guys one named (Amerigo) Vespucci, and the other named (Christopher) Columbus attempting to run an Italian Restaurant. The third was about two American astronauts fixing a satellite. The forth was two men in a car shop talking about cars then getting in a car and listening to "Baby" by Justin Beiber. We received a 102 or a A-, B+.

Monday Feb 13

Today we started grading for the improv acting we have been practicing, Diego Gomez and I haven't gone yet but we hope to nail  our performance. The key to getting an A in this is spadework and not asking questions if we are  detailed and we don't get too nervous we should do fine.

1st Week of Feb.

This week we worked on Improv, what I have to think of is not using any imperatives and don't ask any questions. My partner and I need to develop the characters with mine and his first line. We cannot keep the audience guessing, we also need to do a lot of space-work to form the scene before we speak so the audience has an idea of what will happen in the scene.

Set Characters

1. Tony Montana

I would first talk in Cuban, Italian accent, and not pronounce the end of the words. I would use the term cocarock to define people, I would act like I am always right, and be very loud. My physical movements would be walking with swagger, upright. He is driven by money so I would portray this.

2. Vito Corleone

For Vito I would talk in a fading older mans Italian accsent, somewhat like my mouth is full with food. when I sit I would be straight up leaning in toward who I am speaking to. I would walk slow and hunchbacked.

3. Apu Nahasapeemapetilon

When playing Apu I would use a fast indian accent, and would walk and do thinks fast.

4. Ron Burgundy

I would over pronunciate all of my words, try to sound really smart with big words. When walking I would let my hips lead.

5. Ferris Bueller

Talk like a lawyer, do everything with confidence. Speak normally.

6. The Dude

Act big, talk deep, hunchback, walk slow

7. Happy Gilmore

Act wild, angry, and have a raging temper when things don't end up going your way. Move a lot, body gets tight as he gets angry, be very aggressive.

8. Van Wilder

Be calm "cool"stand up straight, talk normally

9. Jim Levenstein

Be very nervous, mess up speaking in front of girls. Get really embarrassed. Sholders hunched down, lazy.

10. Steve Stifler

Act aggressive, bag on everyone, high energy. Be confident.
